Trips by Japanese Fishing Boat
Sensui Island 1/2 day
Just a 45-minute motorboat ride away, Sensui Island offers a traditional Japanese bath in an onsen. Choose from two different
onsens, indoor spring water or outdoor dry onsen. Three hours on Sensui Island for onsen and lunch, or take a 3-minute ferry
ride to the mainland for a stroll through historic Tomo no Ura. 6,000 yen per person. Lunch/onsen extra. Min. 4 people.
Tomon no Ura is also a good drop-off point for those headed West to Hiroshima or beyond. Let us know if you'd like a
one-way fare.
Two-Day Island Explorer Trips
We will be running several two-day trips, including all meals and one night accommodation. All trips start from
Shiraishi and can go either West (Omishima-Yuge--Miyajima) or East (Mannabe--Naoshima--Teshima--Shodoshima), also stopping
at any of the islands in between. These are really fantastic trips, offering an opportunity to see spots that most tourists
never get to see. Each island has a unique culture and people.
Email for details and prices and let us know what you'd like to see.
Service to your Next Destination
We can also provide transportation to your next destination, should you be headed to Miyajima, Kompira-san, or any other place
along the Inland Sea. Save time--a motor boat will get you there much faster than regular transportation as it is direct and
you won't have to lug your suitcases from ferry to train nor navigate the transportation system. See suggested itineraries
under "Other Islands."
Service to Shikoku
If you're headed to Shikoku from Shiraishi Island, we can get you there in about an hour. This is the fastest and most
direct route to Shikoku from here. Otherwise, take the ferry back to Kasaoka then take the train to Okayama and
transfer to the train to Shikoku, a 3-hour trip plus waiting time between connections.
One way trip by motorboat is 5,000 yen per person, minimum 4 people. You may want to make a stop at Awashima on the way.
See "Other Islands" for information on Awashima.
One-Day Tours
We also offer 1-day historic tours of the Seto Naikai. Read about "Sea battles, daimyo and pirates" tour:
